January 2024 Teacher Workshop
"The Grounded Teacher" Workshop Overview
This 1-day wellness workshop provides education, regulation skills, and discussion in support of teachers who are having difficulty finding a source of calm and grounding in their profession. This workshop helps teachers:

* Recognize teacher-student relationships through a trauma-informed lens
* Understand and work with the intelligence of your nervous system and body states
* Shift distressing emotions and body discomforts using Somatic Experiencing techniques
* Increase opportunities for calm, focus, and effortlessness in the teacher-student relationship

Your Facilitator
Krista Bajgier, LCSW-C, MEd, is a certified nature-informed trauma therapist with a background in body-based trauma interventions, including EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness Therapy. She has also worked as a Restorative Justice consultant in school systems to support trauma-informed disciplinary models. She believes in making mental wellness more accessible to the community and offers this program from a place of compassion for professionals effected by the high-stress, high-demand environments of public school system.
