Pronouns: He/Him

Inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s Walden, Joseph loves to nurture, witness, and admire the flowers and fruits of people. He is passionate about the healing interplay of art and science in counseling and loves studying ways to strengthen expertise in both realms. Joseph believes in building healthy communities, having worked with a mental health non-profit to counsel individuals, couples, and families of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds through trauma and crisis intervention. Joseph graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Theatre Arts, and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He approaches therapy through an anti-oppressive framework, applying a myriad of evidence-based practices and indigenous wisdom to meet the unique needs of diverse populations. Joseph navigates complex issues through a trauma-informed lens and creates a safe space for deeply empathetic care, fostering supportive and collaborative therapeutic outcomes. Outside of professional work, Joseph may be found grounding in Mother Nature, curling up with a book, practicing yoga and meditation, singing, exploring new destinations, challenging oppressive systems, or becoming immersed in Studio Ghibli films.
