Alyssia was drawn to social work for its distinctive focus on the profound impact that one's environment has on mental health.  With over ten years of experience as an educator across various settings, she has worked diligently to support children, teens, and their families. Her efforts have included advocating for access to resources and working toward changes that promote justice and empowerment within the community.  Alyssia earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Arkansas in 2024. Her approach to therapy is informed by an anti-oppression framework and incorporates elements of Systems Theory, Queer Theory, and Intersectional Feminist Theory. This blend helps her to navigate complex issues with care and inclusivity, striving to create fair and supportive outcomes for her clients. Outside of her professional life, Alyssia enjoys riding her bike, spending cozy time with her dog, Seymour, and exploring speculative fiction.
